The text appeared in numerous editions over the course of fifty years, the last with which Seidell was involved being entitled, Solubilities, Inorganic and Metal Organic Compounds: A Compilation of Solubility Data from the Periodical Literature. This edition was co-written in with William F. Linke, who produced another edition in Born: December 31, , Hartwell, Georgia. Mutual solubilities and liquid-liquid equilibria of binary, ternary and quaternary systems are presented. Typical solvents and solutes include water, sea water, heavy water, inorganic compounds, and a variety of organic compounds such as hydrocarbons, halogenated hydrocarbons, alcohols, acids, esters and nitrogen compounds.

Solubilities of inorganic and organic compounds; a compilation of quantitative solubility data from the periodical literature. Supplement to the second edition, containing data published during the years inclusive [Reprint] Volume: copy 2.

Seidell, Atherton, Solubilities of Inorganic and Organic Compounds, Volume 1: Binary Systems, Part 1 is part of an approximately 5,page manual containing a selection from the International Chemical Literature on the Solubilities of Elements, Inorganic Compounds, Metallo-organic and Organic Compounds in Binary, Ternary and Multi-component Systems.

Solubilities of Inorganic and Metal Organic Compounds (Volume 1) by Seidell A and a great selection of related books, art and collectibles available now at flatmountaingirls.com The ion of ammonia is placed at the end of the first Group.

The text also presents the arrangement of the compounds of elements. These include oxides and their hydrates and salts of halogen and other acids. The book is a dependable reference for readers interested in studying the solubilities of inorganic and organic compounds.

Even though this is a reprint (photocopy really) of a very old book from around it is (1) legible, and (2) has a lot of very useful solubility information that is not in the CRC handbook, for example. The coverage for inorganic substances is very good.

Compounds that don't dissolve around room temperature may become more soluble in warm water. When using the table, refer to the soluble compounds first. For example, sodium carbonate is soluble because all sodium compounds are soluble, even though most carbonates are insoluble.
